ARAVEY App - Accessibility Statement

ARAVEY App - Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: September 12, 2026

Operated by Prime Legacy Brand LLC (doing business as GRWNDED MNDS)

This statement is for anyone using ARAVEY with assistive technology or accessibility needs.

ARAVEY is built to help people find steadiness in difficult moments. That should be true for as many people as possible. This statement explains what currently works, where the App falls short, and what we are working on. We would rather tell you plainly than leave you to find out.

What works now

Audio‑led practices (for hearing users). Most grounding practices in ARAVEY are spoken. Meditations, breathwork, sound baths, and rituals are guided by voice. Hearing users can follow these without needing to read on‑screen text.

Text that scales. Written content responds to your device’s text size settings.

Screen‑reader access to written content. Journal entries, reflections, and other written content can be read by screen readers, though some labels and navigation paths still need improvement.

No time pressure. Nothing in ARAVEY requires quick responses. There are no timers you must beat, no sessions that end without warning, and no penalty for stopping partway through.

No social interaction. ARAVEY has no social features. Nothing you write is visible to anyone else.

Where we fall short

We want to be honest about these rather than claim more than we can deliver.

Audio practices do not yet have transcripts. If you are deaf or hard of hearing, the spoken practices are not currently accessible. Each practice includes a written description of what it involves, but the guidance itself is audio only.

Education videos do not yet have captions or transcripts. The same applies to our lessons. We are working on this.

Interactive practices require sight. Bubble Pop, Rooted Sands, Rooted Path, and Rooted Reveal are visual and touch‑based. Tracing a path or clearing sand depends on seeing where things are. We have not found a way to make these work without sight, and we do not want to pretend otherwise.

Some screen‑reader labels still need improvement. While written content can be read by screen readers, some buttons, icons, and navigation elements need clearer labeling.

Everything else in ARAVEY — journaling, mood check‑in, written content, and audio practices (for hearing users) — does not depend on these interactive features.

What we are working on

  • Written transcripts for all audio practices
  • Captions and transcripts for education videos
  • Improved labeling throughout the App for screen‑reader users
  • Ongoing review of colour contrast across the App

We do not have dates for these. ARAVEY is built and run by one person, and we would rather do them properly than promise a timeline we cannot keep.

Standards

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a reference point when making decisions about the App. WCAG is written for web content, so we adapt the parts that apply to mobile apps.

We have not had a formal accessibility audit, and we do not claim conformance with any standard.

If something does not work for you

If you run into a barrier using ARAVEY, please tell us. We will not always be able to fix it quickly, but we would rather know.

Email us at grwnded@primelegacybrand.com. Please describe:

  • what you were trying to do
  • what got in the way
  • what assistive technology you were using (if any)

We aim to respond within 2 business days, though response times may vary.

A note

ARAVEY is a wellness tool, not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical treatment, or crisis support. If you are struggling, please reach out to a licensed professional, contact emergency services, or call or text 988 in the United States to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
